Second class

In the last election... 3 states voted for banning gay & lesbian marriage. Why is it okay for the public to vote on gay & lesbian relationships?

So, when do I get the chance to vote for a ban on straight marriage? With climbing divorce rates of the past 2 or 3 decades... something ought to be done. Perhaps banning it. Or maybe the licenses should be handed out after a strict education and testing process like driving a car or piloting a plane or performing surgery.

Nope. Not gonna happen.

The public has voted. The relationships of gay men and lesbians are not as valid as heterosexual relationships. Gay men and lesbians are second class.

I ... am second class... according to the public.

So hetero readers of my blog... think about how lucky you are that nobody is dictating how valid your relationship is.
