"The primary difference between the western and indiginous ways of life is that Indians experience and relate to a living universe, whereas Western people reduce all things, living or not, to objects." - Vine Deloria
When I was growing up, I believed everything was part of God. It didn't exactly match up with what I was hearing the church say (Catholic, if it matters).
Now, I'm finding myself drawn to shamanic belief systems. Where everything is interconnected. Everything part of everything... the universe.
The quote above... I find truth in it for my way of seeing reality.
"Tell me what you pay attention to and I will tell you who you are."

Go you must
No guest
Shall stay long
In one place forever
Love will be lost
If you sit too long
At a friend’s fire.
Viking scripture quoted at the end of the broadcast of the 1994 Winter Olympics.
