All week there have been news bits about Susan Boyle, a woman from Scotland who appeared on Britain's Got Talent and completely stunned the audience and judges with her performance.
Here is a link to the video on youtube... Susan Boyle on Britain's Got Talent.
She's amazing. An incredibly talented voice... not to mention a fun-loving spirited personality. She has become an overnight sensation... even Oprah plans on interviewing her. She gave her dream of being a professional singer... one more chance. It was obvious when she walked on stage and introduced herself that the audience and judges did not think highly of her, even laughing at her on occasion. But when she started singing... the judges' jaws dropped a mile. The audience erupted in applause and cheers. In the end, she received a standing ovation from the audience and all but one judge. But even he could not hide his awe.
She gave her dream another chance. At 47, living alone with her cat, unemployed, and reported by neighbors as having a rough life... she gave her dream another chance and in an instant... the world stood up and applauded.
I've written before of how life can change in an instant... this is one of those times.
Inspiring.

Go you must
No guest
Shall stay long
In one place forever
Love will be lost
If you sit too long
At a friend’s fire.
