Don't bore Jeffrey!!!

The fifth season of Project Runway started last week. Tim Gunn is back. Heidi Klum, too. And Nina and Michael the other two judges.

The first challenge is one of my favorites... using unconventional items to create an outfit. The designers had to shop for materials in a grocery store. Lots of great designs. And a few... um... what the heck is that. You can see all the designs at the Project Runway website. I am particularly impressed with the dress made out of blue plastic cups.

I love the different challenges and the imagination at work of the designers as they strive to meet the challenge. It's always unpredictable... one designer might be consistently good and then out of the blue gets thrown off balance by the challenge... and... he or she is "out".

But my favorite has to be Tim Gunn. "Make it work" And "Don't bore Nina" are my favorite lines of his. He's the mentor for the designers and is quite good at it. And he successfully mentors with the nicest attitude I've ever seen.

Unlike Nina... I'm never bored with the designs (or Tim Gunn's mentoring style). Even the awful designs don't bore me... cuz what looks awful in the workroom... sometimes turns into something amazing on the runway.

Make it work!
