This coming Saturday is a Festival in downtown Indianapolis called Earth Day Indiana. I went last year and had a blast. I'm really looking forward to it.
Here are five things I do... to help save the planet.
1. I use canvas bags for grocery-shopping to cut down on plastic bags.
2. I compost coffee grounds and other things in the back yard.
3. I bring things to local recycling dumpsters on a regular basis. Plastic, glass, newspaper, cardboard, paper, magazines, even clothes.
4. I try to combine errands so I use the truck less.
5. I re-use plastic peanut butter containers for storage. They are much safer in the garage for nails than the break-able glass ones. I re-use other containers, but that one is easy to explain.

Go you must
No guest
Shall stay long
In one place forever
Love will be lost
If you sit too long
At a friend’s fire.
Viking scripture quoted at the end of the broadcast of the 1994 Winter Olympics.
