Tomorrow... we can paint.

I reported last week that I was hearing the sweet sounds of power tools.

The drywall went up, the joint compound was applied (covering nails and cracks and smoothing corners and all that). Today the walls will be sanded.

And tomorrow... WE CAN PAINT!

Okay, just the primer coat. Then the drywall guy comes back to check for imperfections in the drywall. Still, it's painting. At times, I truly wondered if we'd ever get to this point.

I'm happy and eager to get going. I'm even looking forward to getting paint on my clothes and arms. I pray it's cool weather. Humid weather will make painting in the unairconditioned addition a bit uncomfortable.

UDPATE AT 2 PM SAME DAY
Well, not tomorrow. Now Saturday is primer painting day... the day after tomorrow.

In one place forever
Love will be lost
If you sit too long
At a friend’s fire.
